AM I SEXUALLY ADDICTED?
Sexual addiction comes in many varieties. For some it involves compulsive masterbation and searching for pornography. For others it involves chat-rooms or sex with strangers. For others it involves serial affairs. It isn't the specific behavior, though, nor the frequency that defines sexual addiction.
If you're wondering whether you may be struggling with sexual addiction, ask yourself the following questions:
Am I in trouble because of my sexual behavior?
Have I tried to quit certain sexual behaviors and failed?
Do I worry that others may find out about my sexual behaviors?
Do I feel regret after engaging in certain sexual behavior?
Do I continue certain sexual behaviors even though they cause me problems?
Do I fear I may be sexually addicted?
If you answered YES to ANY of these questions, you can CLICK HERE to take a FREE Sexual Addiction Screening Test (SAST). | WHAT IS SEXUAL ADDICTION?
Sexual addiction is the compulsive use of sexual behavior(s) which an individual is unsuccessful in stopping despite increasingly negative consequences (such as guilt and shame, low self-esteem, sexually transmitted disease, unwanted pregnency, divorce, loss of job, loss of career, legal problems, death).
Sexual addiction destroys lives. It destroys the lives of the addicts themselves, but it also destroys the lives of spouses, children and other family members.
